Camp Adventure: The Place to Be

Camping in Denmark is one of the most thrilling experiences you could ever indulge in. The memories created last a lifetime. There are many places to visit in Denmark with the top on the list being Camp Adventure. This is a park designed to avail nature to visitors offering them an unforgettable experience.

Camp Adventure is located in the Gisselfeld Klosters Skove Forest which is south of Copenhagen. It is in Rønnede which is a town in Faxe Municipality (Zealand). Besides, the address is Skovtårnsvej 1, 4683 Rønnede. The amusement park is open from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Many activities are presented in this camp making it one of the most toured places in Denmark. however, what may catch your eye when you get there is the Forest Tower which is quite unique in the camp. The tower is about 45 meters tall with an hourglass structure. It is the most stunning thing in the entire park. Apart from the Forest Tower, you will find a climbing park and other activities at Camp Adventure.

Getting to Camp Adventure

If you want to get to Camp Adventure easily you will have to go by car. Nevertheless, if you don’t have a car, there is an option of a bus but the trip will be around twice longer. This is because two transfers will have to be made before you get to the park. You can also go by train. The regional trains run after about 10 minutes in the daytime and you can board either from Central Station or Nørreport Station.

Prices 

For the tower forest, the children between 0 to 2 years can go for free. However, for the kids between 3 to 6 years old, they need to pay DKK 75. Unfortunately, the price is different from may to August, it is DKK 100. The 7+ years kids as well as adults pay DKK 150 on normal days during summer they pay DKK 200.

The climbing park is a bit pricy. The kids between 3 to 6 years pay DKK 150. Besides, the children between 7 to 14 years pay DKK 250. Anyone above 15 years including the school children have to part with DKK 350 if they want to access the climbing park.

Camp Adventure’s Forest Tower

If you want to experience a unique destination in your life then it must be the Forest Tower found in Camp Adventure. First things first. You have to be admitted to the Tower for you cannot go in for free. The charges are 20 EUR for adults and 65 DKK for children between 3 to 6 years old. However, there are discounts offered from time to time maybe you can take advantage of them when you are there.

To enjoy being at the Forest Tower, you have to go to the top of the tower through the spiral ramp. It is not a short distance for it is almost a 1km hike hence you should be braced for it. The hike is through the woods and step by step you go beyond the trees as you rise to the top of the tower. Ascending the tower is one amazing experience for you will feel like a bird rising slowly from the ground.

When you get to the top of the tower, the entire nature will be before your eyes. The breath-taking view of Denmark will leave you breathless such that you will not want to make the top of the tower your home. Imagine seeing the Baltic Sea while the Danish breeze fills the air. It would be indeed a spectacular view to behold.

Other Activities at Camp Adventure

Besides the Forest Tower, there are other activities you can indulge in while at Camp Adventure starting off with Climbing Park. Here climbing courses are offered to all age groups. Children are provided with nets which they use for climbing plus barrels for crawling through. Adults on the other use trapezes for swinging, zip lines for hanging, and wires placed between trees for walking along. Now what makes Climbing Park stand out is its 475-meter-long zip line which is now the longest in Northern Europe.
